When I first had the idea for Sacred Rebellion, it looked much different than it does today.
See, back then, I believed that the key to solving our environmental and social issues would be found using logic and strategy alone.
I’d spent my whole life coming up with plans to save the elephants, free all the homeless puppies, and make sure no child died of a preventable illness just because they lacked access to medicine.
But at the end of every strategic plan, I’d find myself at a dead-end. Trying to solve just one of these issues felt like putting a Band-Aid on a massive, gaping wound. I could spend my entire life trying to stop the bleeding, but the world would still be full of massive gaping wounds.
Because the wounds are only symptoms of a much deeper disease– a world that’s forgotten love.
A world that’s built on the belief that there’s not enough to go around. That domination and exploitation is the only way to have enough.
Years of staring down the barrel at the worst human atrocities and finding no solution left me exhausted, burnt out, hopeless and defeated.
And it wasn’t until I fell to my knees in defeat that I realized the missing piece (the answers we seek are usually found when we surrender our way and make space for something bigger).
What I learned was that…we can’t solve the world’s problems using the same fear-based thinking that created them.
Logic and strategy alone simply won’t cut it.
The world we are dreaming of requires something bigger from all of us–
A spiritual revolution that begins in our hearts and minds.
And a few brave souls who are willing to go first.
On a brain level
When we’re constantly staring down the barrel at the problems of the world– looking through the lens of our own fear, resentment, and rage– we’re operating from the lower, survival centers of our brain. Like an animal backed into a corner, our brain produces solutions to escape danger and survive…not thrive.
From this view, we’re unable to see that the answers we so desperately seek can only be found when we transcend our fear and let our soul lead the way.
But when we make the conscious choice to open our heart and align with higher vibration thoughts, we activate the higher centers of our mind.
Now, we’re able to see more creative solutions to collective global problems. We are able to see new synergies and possibilities where limitations once existed. And THIS is where the solutions for the world we are dreaming of will be found.
If we’re going through life believing that we are victims of an unjust system that we are powerless to address…we will see evidence of that belief everywhere we look. But when we are willing to see with compassion, we realize that the evil we see is deeply rooted in unconscious fear. And the way to solve the problems isn’t by fighting against the evil, but by transcending it. But cutting the cord and releasing its power over us through radical forgiveness.
By trading in our ‘heart of war’ for a ‘heart of peace’.
The way we end the wars….is by simply dropping our weapons. Someone has to go first.
If you’re triggered by this email…well then, I guess I’ve done my job by shining a light on what needs to be healed.
We do this work for the future of the world, but we also do it to free ourselves.
Because when you’ve experienced how freaking amazing it feels to live with an open heart…
To vibrate at a higher frequency– then life becomes a dance.
When you learn how to alchemize that righteous rage into unwavering power….you experience true freedom.
When you remember how to see the magic that we’ve been forced to forget– you realize that this is what life is meant to be.
Getting into a high vibration, and remembering who you really are, is the greatest gift you can offer to the world.
Because when you do, your light spreads like wildfire.
But we can’t just spiritually bypass our way there. Our body holds the pain of all the wars we’ve been carrying.
And all she wants is to be witnessed by you…that’s the work, my friends.
