Power of the People

I'm super passionate about helping high achievers become the 1% that realize their full potential and maximize their impact.

We aren't meant to do it alone!

Hi, I'm Angie

All our lives, we’ve been told that we should stay in our own lane and trust the ‘big issues’ like climate change, poverty and social justice to the experts in the government.  Surely if they are sending people to the moon they have a plan to stop our own planet from frying like Sunday morning bacon, right?

We’re taught that if we really want to make a difference, we should focus on our own success, status and wealth and then we can donate to our favorite causes.

This is the biggest lie we’ve been told…and the most dangerous.

I hate to tell you, friends, but the government is not coming to save us.

  1. They don’t have the innovation
    1. Governments are simply not equipped to cope with our social and environmental problems, nor are they well placed to develop innovative approaches to tackling them the way the free-market enterprise system is.
  2. They don’t have the budget
    1. Federal budgets are already stretched to the max and many governments feel that they are already contributing more than their share, and even still, their total contribution toward our most pressing global issues is merely a drop in the bucket compared to the total need.
  3. They are complicit in causing most of the problems we face
    1. It’s no longer a secret that Politicians accept billions of dollars in lobbying funds from big industries like oil, food, and pharma who essentially own our government and its public policies.

So whether or not you believe that the government should come and save us…the stark reality is…they cannot and they will not.

Ok, now ready for the good news?

We don’t need them to.  And maybe we’ve been asking too much.

The Power of the People

Throughout civilization, the biggest advances to our quality and richness of life have never come from governments, they’ve come from the people.

When restrictions are rolled back and barriers are diminished, people begin to apply their own natural abilities and knowledge to solving their problems and to make the world a better place.

So what we need isn’t government intervention, but the freedom to do what we do best—to ideate, innovate, learn, grow, and collaborate.  To combine our talents, knowledge and resources to create new opportunities.

And we are already seeing this all around the world.

It’s the story that’s not being told by the manipulative media.

In every corner of the world, and in your own backyard, there’s an army of humble change-makers and peace-leaders that are dedicating their lives to making the world sing a better song:

  • In Thailand, there’s a woman named Lek who has dedicated her life to rescuing elephants from slavery and bringing them to her sanctuary to live out their days with dignity and peace.
  • In the United States, a man named Sam left his career in Finance to start a grocery store that would provide affordable fresh food options in the food deserts of the lower income neighborhoods of Southern California.
  • In Indonesia, there’s a woman named Kim who left her career as a social worker in Australia to rescue mothers and children from street begging and protect them from human trafficking.
  • In the United States, a group of engineers at Stanford developed affordable baby incubators made out of small sleeping bags and kept warm by hot wax pouches, saving thousands of premature babies in poor countries around the world.
  • Entrepreneurs all over the world are finding ways to fight plastic waste, clean the oceans, and find more sustainable solutions to meet consumer demand in a way that works in synchronicity with the natural life cycles of our land, animals and oceans.

I believe it’s within our grasp to solve our collective challenges in our lifetime, but we can’t use the same fear and ego that created the problems to solve them.  The way forward requires something bigger from all of us.

It requires the kind of change that must begin in our hearts and minds.  And a decision that we will not be defined by the evil we see in the world, but by our capacity to rise above it.

The way I see it…we have two choices–

We can sit around and complain about how unfair it is to live in a world that has forgotten that love is the whole point.

Or we can help it remember.

If we choose Option B, we cannot fail…for when we choose radical love, we become David to Goliath, just like all the Sacred Leaders that came before us.  But Option B requires your willingness to see things differently, and your active participation.

Doors for the Sacred Rebellion Membership Community launch soon.  You can learn more about it here.  If you’d like to talk in person before our next launch, there’s a link to book a free call with me personally (I don’t offer this often, so jump on it!  I want to get to know you:)
